Let’s face it, we’ve all been burned at one time or another. We’ve bought a product that was pitched to us as a miracle product, only to be under delivered in terms of quality.
When we buy a product like that, our feelings about the product and the brand are soured. That’s right, it leaves a bad taste in our mouths which leaves us somewhat resentful. Think of it. What have you bought that was sold as a great product, only to let you down, and leave you with a bad feeling.
Sometimes we feel stupid, or suckered when we buy a poor quality product. Sometimes, it just leaves us feeling blasé, or apathetic. Nonetheless when we as customer’s buy a product that has been sold as a high value, high quality item, we have expectations.
In this world, with decades of history behind us where the customer has been treated poorly and disrespected, there is no room any more for lack of integrity. There is no room any more in Internet Marketing for tricking a customer into buying a product that has been sold as a miracle cure, only to offer them a placebo.
Think of the case where a company offers Natural Spring Water, only to fill the bottle from a residential tap. What a scam. This is not a natural product at all. The water didn’t come from a spring. What’s worse, it probably tastes like chlorine. What a rip off. Now compare that to a product like Evian. It comes from the mountains of France. The water is mineralized from the region, and it is very refreshing. It is a quality product.
When you are marketing product on the Internet, remember that your integrity is your key to maintaining and growing your customer base, and to receiving a great reputation. Nothing sells your product like a word of mouth referral. Absolutely nothing!
If a customer complains about your product, work to appease their concern. Step up to the plate and be the honest business person. Your reputation will begin to precede you. Your customers will be loyal, and will likely offer you testimonials and word of mouth referrals.
Once you have a reputation for being honest and doing business in a high integrity manner, your conversions will skyrocket. Just remember, offer your guarantees. Stand by them.
Even more importantly, make sure the product you create does offer a high value to the customer. Can you think of a time when you bought a product or service that made you feel really satisfied? I can. When I buy a product or service that was of exceptionally high quality, I frequently refer the vendor to friends and family. I am proud to make referrals for people who gave me my money’s worth.
Just remember that. Go the distance. Offer great guarantees. Create products and offer services that your customers will rave about to their friends and family, and your sales and conversions will have a seeming magical boost. It’s not magic. It’s not the proverbial smoke and mirrors. Your sales will be qualified and driven by customer satisfaction. This is essential on your venture for Internet Marketing gold.
